Today, his grandson Laurence says it was always the family's intention to return to haulage. "My father, Larry, worked on my grandfather's dairy farm until 1996," he says. "Dairying went so bad hen that he decided to get back into haulage."

The company now has 10 trucks working in Galway and Moyculien.

Laurence loads some trailers himself and calls on his Irish-based customers when he is loading.

Two in-house mechanics provide servicing to the fleet. His sister Mary (pictured) handles the accounts. Laurence is an IRHA member, but life on the road has prevented him from becoming actively involved in the association. However, a recent move into full-time management may yleld time for IRHA affairs, he says.
