QUALITY COUNTS • The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders is to stage a World Class Total Quality conference in February 1989 as part of a campaign to improve the quality of automotive components made in this country.
The conference will be chaired by SNEVIT chairman Geoffrey Whalen, managing director of Peugeot Talbot. Speakers will include Lord Young, Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, and Professor Roland Smith, chairman of British Aerospace.
