• A "ring and ride" minibus service has taken to the road this week in the Midlands.
The five-days-a-week service, backed by the Government's Rural Development Commission, will offer door-to-door travel between people's homes and doctor's surgeries, health centres and local hospitals in the Evesham area of Worcestershire.
People living on specified routes can phone the service to collect them from their home. Buses are designed to cope with elderly and disabled travellers and are also equipped with wheelchair lifts.
