IN RESPONSE to the letter from Miss Richards (CM August 181,1 will ask: how lucky can one be? First of all, how much did Miss Richards pay for her tests, hgv and ow? And as to refresher courses, it's more money, Miss Richards. Would Miss Richards be prepared to teach me hgv Class 2?

As for the letter from "Casey Dorset", (CM August 18) can he knit, and if so how about knitting me a pass certificate for an hgv vehicle? I resent being called incompetent; it's people like Miss Richards and "Dorset" who want everything done right.

I can drive an hgv on private land, and I think that incompetence starts when a person first learns to drive. I still stand by my statement (CM July 2) that since the test started, somebody, somewhere, is making a lot of money out of learner drivers. I go to all LDoY competitions and I applaud a good, well trained driver of hgv.

So I will close by saying I am open to offers from somebody who thinks he can teach me and get me through the test, on his or her own vehicle.
