Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. Masters on his first-class letter (CM, August 4). I would only add that if the RHA are only as effective as some of their counterparts i.e. RAC and AA this time, within two years there will not be an RHA nor—more important —a small haulier left in this socialist country.

We must make the powers that be realize that action is required NOW. The only way to fight is as Mr. Masters suggests: a oneor even two-week stoppage of all vehicles in the very near future before Mrs. C and her friends slide their dictatorship ideas through the back door.

With this object in view I suggest we start NOW and if any interested parties will write to me we can make a start. NO CONFISCATION WITHOUT COMPENSATION!

D. MAYNARD.

Director, D. Maynard (Haulage) Ltd., Bermondsey.
