At Bolton Watch Committee a letter was received from the Ministry of Transport with reference to the refusal of the corporation to grant to the Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., licences to ply for hire with motor omnibuses and stating that the Minister of Transport has learned with great regret that the corporation have not seen their way to accept the suggestion conveyed in the Department's letter of March 24th last, that he is advised that for certain technical reasons it is not open to him to make an Order under the above-mentioned Act, and in the circumstances he does not propose to take any further action in the matters which formed the subject of the local inquiry held on December 18th, 1924.
