Several Government departments gave out orders for motor vehicles to British firms during July last Thus. the G.P.O. authorities ordered a number-of vans from the hfaudslay Motor Cos,' Ltd., Coventry ; H. G. Burford and Co., Ltd., London, and W. Harold Perry, London. The War Office divided an order for 30-cwt. chassis between Baileys Industrial Motors, Ltd., Glasgow, the Vulcan Motor Co., Ltd., Southport, J. I. Thornycroft and Co., Ltd., Basingstoke, and the Albion Motor Car Co., Ltd., Glasgow. The Crown Agents for the Colonies placed orders for 1-ton vehicles with Guy Motors, Ltd., Wolverhampton' and Morris Commercial Cars, Ltd., Birmingham.
