Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BETWEEN August 10th and 16th census was taken by order of the Ministry of Transport _(Road Department) of main roads traffic on the four chief roads leading from Carnarvon. The returns show an increase in the traffic from 1922, especially as regards mechanically propelled vehicles, which consisted chiefly of light touring cars and coaches from different parts of the country. The census was taken at points on the Bangor, Llanberis, Reddgelett and Purilheli roads and the following are the totals for the week.

Bangor road: 8,111; including mechanically propelled vehicles, 6,528.

Llanbcris read: 4,340; including mechanically propelled -vehicles, 3,258.

Beddgelert road : Grass, 4,171; mechanically propelled vehicles, 2,972.

Pwllheli road : Gross., 7,050; mechanically propelled vehicles, 4,124.

The heaviest days traffic was on the Saturday for the following roads :— Llanberis road, 900; Beddgelert road, 786; Pwllheli road, 1,410. The heaviest day for the Bangor road was on Tues day, August 11th, the figure being 1,564. Horse traffic here averaged 102 a day against 130 in 1922.

In 1922, when the census was last taken, the returns for the week were :— Bangor road : Gross, 7,172; mechanically propelled vehicles, 4,337. Lienhens Toad: Gross, 4,384; mechanically propelled vehicles, 2,303. Beddgelert Toad: Gross, 3,361; mechanically propelled vehicles, 1,406. PwIlheli road: Goss, 4,233; mechanically propelled vehicles, 2,686.
