Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

OPERATORS of refrigerated trailers using Thermo King freezer units can now benefit from a thermostatic device called Cycle-Sentry, which has been developed by the manufacturer and is available through its service dealer network.

The unit costs £645 excluding vat and can be retrofitted by its service dealers to all SB-1 30 and 50, Super NWD 30 and 50 models as well as certain NWD units in approximately one hour. Thermo King expects it to be available on RD-1 SS 1V, KD-1 SS 1V and MD-1SS 1V units by the end of this year.

It is mounted on the front of the refrigerator unit and can be switched to either an automatic stop-start mode or a continuous run. Once the required temperature has been reached, the engine runs at a low speed when the stop-start device operates thus saving fuel and making less noise.

To improve starting, the system automatically provides variable glow-plug pre-heat intervals through a series of sensors on the engine to minimise battery discharge.

This feature is standard on Cycle-Sentry units for trailer units and optional for trucks.
