Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Alan Westwell, the director of passenger transport for Tayside, is deserting his Dundee office for a few days soon to pop over to Washington. It's not a pseudo business trip with a bit of pleasure thrown in but a real live all-paid-for spree for two.

Alan was the lucky man who won the Volvo-sponsored Concorde trip at the Talk of the Town in London last week. Twenty-four of Volvo's guests were called to the stage and then at a lucky or unlucky draw, depending on how you look at it, they were eliminated. The trip lasts for only three days, but when you fly Concorde you don't waste too much time travelling.

By the way, the 900 Volvo guests were transported to Leicester Square from South Kensington by two specially chartered Tube trains and were served with sherry on route. I'm told the expressions on the faces of passengers waiting on the platforms of the stations as the specials passed through varied from bewilderment to horror, disbelief to envy.
