EIGHTY PER CENT of orders taken by Duple since the announcement of its Dominant II coach last month have been for the new model. That was the message from Duple fleet sales manager Martin Montano this week.
He said that many customers who had ordered Dominants with no finishing instructions had now come out in favour of the Dominant As the Dominant body is not available on the Ford chassis it may be deduced that many of the 20 per cent remaining faithful to the Dominant I are Ford operators. Duple will continue to build the I alongside the II.
Major operators who have ordered the Dominant II include Ulsterbus and other operators are said by Duple to be switching their orders from ni-h AImanufacturers.
