A NEW umbrella operation to help owner drivers going to the Middle East has been started by freight forwarders, Davies Turner.
The company says the idea of the new scheme is for owner drivers to maintain their independence but still have the advantages of a large group of companies. , Loads are to be guaranteed, to drivers for continuous export work with all the formalities of paper work taken care of by Davies Turner. Progress of each vehicle is monitored at checkpoints across Turkey and trucks heading for Iran are taken over by the Teheran staff of Davies Turner.
