• National Express subsidiary Crosville Wales has closed Rhyl bus station and three smaller garages after a disappointing summer season.
It has also converted the trunk Rhyl-Denbigh route to minibus operation as part of the cost-cutting exercise.
Depots at Abcraeron, Denbigh and Newcastle Emlyn have been closed and sold. Bus services in Rhyl now terminate outside the railway station, and passengers can no longer use the covered accommodation, waiting rooms and travel office.
The company hopes that
cheaper passenger facilities can be provided at Rhyl with the co-operation of British Rail and the local council.
