• One of the very few new excursion and tours licences granted in the North West since the war was successfully applied for by Gavins Taxis of Littleborough in Manchester on Monday of last week. An excursion can run daily to Batley Variety Club with picking-up points in Bury, Darnhill, Heywood, Rochdale and Littleborough commencing at 18.45 hrs. and returning at 00.30. The application was opposed by three existing operators.
