• At a meeting last Sunday Bradford haulage drivers decided to accept the £2 a week increase on existing rates and Is 6d an hour after 40 hours offered by the employers. This followed threatened strike action (CM Nov. 1).
Members of the Bradford and District Hauliers Federation, whom the unions had approached originally for the rise, are meeting this week to discuss a possible rates increase.
