Two Large E. Midland Requests
'TWO large applications appear in this
week's East Midland Applications and Decisions, both of whichconcern the carriage of excavated materials from sites.
Murphy Brothers Ltd. of Thurmaston (Leicester) have applied for a new B licence in respect of nine vehicles not exceeding 9 tons each with conditions restricting their use to the carriage of building and road making materials, excavated site materials, ashes, agricultural produce and requisites and solid fuels within a reasonably large radius. The second application-also for a new B licence---is made by R. Radford (Contractors) Ltd., of Eastwood, near Nottingham, who seek seven vehicles totalling 24 tons 14 cwt. with a limited condition "Excavated material from site works within 30 miles ".
In the nearby West Midland area Cadwallader Bros., of Shrewsbury have applied for a contract A to A licence .switch in respect of two long-wheelbase tippers and two drawbar trailers for the carriage of roadmaking and building Materials, silica, sand and salt within England and Wales.
