ViISITORS will here find much to V attract their notice in a range of lightweight goods vehicles with carrying capacities of from 15 cwt. to 4 tons. One passenger vehicle is also to be seen. Introduced in the early part of the year, the 4-tonner, which has been designed throughout in this country, is of special interest. In forward-control form, it serves as the foundation of an hydraulic end-tipping lorry with B. and E. gear, It is powered by a sixcylindered 25.3 h.p. engine, and has a single-plate clutch and a four-speed gearbox. This machine has as its basis the short-wheelbase chassis, and the drive is taken through a single-piece propeller shaft to a spiral-bevel-type axle with fully floating shafts. The frame is well braced by triangular members which are carried forward inside the longitudinals to reinforce them at their front end and to give added strength to this important sectiOn. The feur-wheel brakes are operated by the Lockheed hydraulic system, and the hand brake also works on all four wheels.

A second cicaniple of the-4-ton model is a bug-wheelbase chassis equipped with a drop-sided lorry body. A further 4-tonner that is on view is a long-wheelbase model, equipped with a Butterfield tank. Special tyre equipmeut is provided, andall details corn

ply with L.C.C. regulations. The complete tanker weighs under 50 cwt.

In addition, the long-wheelbase 4tanner can be inspected in chassis form, and the straightforwaycl layout and sturdy construction will, no doubt, appeal to the close observer.

A useful 2i-ton forward-control endtipping lorry, incorporating a Wood hydraulic tipping gear, should also he of interest to visitors. This model is powered by a 2:3.3 h.p. six-cylindered engine. The 2-ton long-wheelbase model is on view with a lorry body, the engine and chassis details being the same as for the 24--ton model.

Two vans are displayed, the payloads being 15-cwt. and 30-cwt. respectively. The former has a six-cylindered engine rated at 19.8 h.p., and the weight of the complete vehicle is only 24 cwt. The larger van has a "sixcylindered engine of greater capacity, rated at 23.3 h:p, The exhibit is completed by a 20seater coach with a Duple body. This machine is powered by a 25.3 h.p. sixcylindered engine. — Dodge Bros. (Britain), Ltd., Mortlake Road, Kew Gardens, Surrey.
