The light CV market is robust, says Manheim Auctions, with buyers picking out the quality in an age of over-supply.

By Kevin Swallow WHEN IT COMES to snapping up the right stock in the light CV market, buyers can always be relied upon to pick and choose how they'll spend their cash.

The latest market analysis report from Manheim Auctions shows the market is robust "with buyers responding to the recent over-supply of duplicated, damaged and high mileage stock in an entirely predictable and logical way".

Healthy demand and bidding continues for the right stock, the report says.

Alex Wright, Manheim's commercial vehicles sales director, says: "The LCV Market Analysis Report reinforces our belief the market has remained robust, despite the recent economic uncertainties.

"But, after two years of exceptional performance in the light CV market, fuelled by a shortage of used stock and high demand, a price realignment was inevitable.

"We have historically reacted, as we are now, by applying our expertise and marketing tools to support our dedicated CV auction centre teams," Wright says. "We will try to ensure that we continue to meet the expectations of our vendors and our buyers, and also utilise the growth and success of CV Live, to enhance our presence in the market." •
