• A completely new tipping gear and body are being displayed this weekend at the fourth Tipping Convention at Buxton. It will be mounted on a Bedford KMR 15-ton chassis. The gear is manufacturered by Thomas Thompson and Son Ltd, of Carlow, Eire, and is available in 18 models from singlestage, single-ram to four-stage twin-ram. A spokesman for the company said that it has been accepted by the Ford Motor Co as original equipment and he told CM this week: "We are able to offer the equipment on five days' delivery and the price is comparable with most other makes."
