MR. T. H. BEEVERS has been appointed chief education officer for Smiths Motor Accessory division. He comes to the division's training centre from Harrow School.
MR, C. B. LEITH, deputy general manager of David MacBrayne, Ltd., has been appointed general manager in succession to MR. H. S. MACLAUCHLAN, who retired on May 1.

MR. RUDOLF HAHN IS new president of the Aluminium Development Association following the retirement of MR. S. E. CLOT WORTHY, managing director of Northern Aluminium Co., Ltd., now a vice-presidant of the Association.
MR. J. E. READ, has been appointed general sales manager, car and truck, domestic division of the Ford Motor Co., Ltd. He succeeds MR. J. S. KEMP, who is to take up an appointment with the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, U.S.A.
MR. j. SANDERS, special sales representative at the Cardiff depot of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., has been appointed manager of the northern commercial vehicles division. He is replaced at Cardiff by a former sales representative, MR. W. H. N. SYMONDS.
MR. P. A. WEATHERS has been appointed district manager of the National Benzole Co., Ltd.'s Bristol division. MR. E. DAYKIN is now assistant manager in London and MR. H. G. COOK is now assistant manager of the company's special trades department.

MR. COLIN CLEGG, a director of public cleansing at Leicester, will be installed as president of the Institute of Public Cleansing at Brighton in June.
COL. ARTHUR IERRETT has retired as managing director of Guy Motors, Ltd. He joined the Guy board in 1945, was appointed sales director in 1950 and 'became vice-chairman in 1954. He became managing director of the company in 1957 on the retirement of MR. SYDNEY GUY, the founder. MR. C. OWEN SILVERS has retired from the board of Guy's associate company, Sunbeam Trolleybus Co., Ltd. He had been associated with Wolverhampton Transport Department for 34 years before joining the Guy and Sunbeam companies in 1949.

Mr. Smeaton Dick was manager of the Cardiff branch of Pirelli, Ltd. He had been with the company for 29 years.
Mr. Rotinolf, who died on May 2, in London, was 57. A civil engineer of distinction, he was a director of several companies bearing his name, including Rotinoff Motors, Ltd., 125 Pali Mall, London. MR. W. G. NIVEN has been appointed garage equipment representative for the West of Scotland by James Robertson (Factors), Ltd.
MR. PETER Vey takes over as public relations officer of the National Benzole Co., Ltd., in place of MR. BRUCE PATTERSON, who joins the Shell International Petroleum Co., Ltd.
MR. E. H. B. PALMER, who has acted as a consultant in licensing matters in the Metropolitan Traffic Area for 25 years, is to retire, and his practice is being taken over by MR. H. T. LENNART).
MR. J. E. DOREY is now national transport controller of the Co-operative Wholesale Society's milk products department. MR. G. H. COE takes over the control of the company's London transport.
MR. W. E. PRIOR, the Northern Rubber Co., Ltd.. and MR. J. W. MANN, Joseph Lucas (Electrical), Ltd., have been elected chairman and vice-chairman respectively of the Federation of British Rubber and Allied Manufacturers.
MR. M. K. WiNG, who for the past five years has served C.A.V., Ltd., as project engineer on the application of fuel injection equipment to oil engines in Britain, has taken up an appointment as project engineer to the company in Canada.
MR. F. CLEM, a director of Chrysler Motors, Ltd., and Dodge Bros. (Britain), Ltd., is on a business tour of India, Pakistan, Ceylon, Australia and New Zealand. MR. K. B. HARRISON has been appointed fleet sales manager of the company.
MR. J. W. WRIGHTSON, retail marketing manager in the western division of ShellMex and B.P. Ltd., has been appointed manager of the company's Newcastle upon Tyne branch. He succeeds MR. D. A. LAWSON, who has been appointed manager of the Worcester branch.
MR. W. H. JELPKE has been appointed assistant to MR. ANDREW FAIRISH, northern area superintendent of Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., and now takes charge of Carlisle depot following the retirement of MR. W. S. BATEY. From June I, M. V. J. Oweist will be the company's assistant engineer.
