FINES totalling £100 were imposed by Sheriff Gibb at Dundee on Mr. David Horsburgh, contractor, 98, Albert Street, Dundee, on five charges arising from petrol applications. The charges against accused were that, intending to deceive, he applied for 80 gallons of petrol for a lorry for quarry work when the said vehicle was dismantled, and that twice he got coupons for 120 units and the petrol was used for other purposes. The offences were admitted.
An agent stated that the lorry became disabled. There was no misuse of the petrol, as it was used in other lorries to allow work at the quarry to continue.
