Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

North-East Mercedes-Benz van and truck dealership Bell Truck Sales

has opened an outlet in Stockton. Kevin Swallow reports.

BellTruck Sales' £3.5m expansion programme is on schedule. With its new service-centre site at Team Valley, Gateshead, already in business, the used truck and van site at Portrack Lane in Stockton-on-Tees is the second of three planned openings.

The site is run by Brian Bird, who has transferred (along with three colleagues and stock) from Spennymoor — which remains open as a service centre. The third new site, a van centre onTyneside, will open later in the year.

In the first year. Bell Truck Sales plans to sell 600 trucks, vans and 4x4 sales from the Stockton site. Last year the company launched an ambitious plan to divide its van and truck operations and created dedicated sites for diverse market sectors (CM 2 February 2006).

At the time, Gary Graham, who is running Bell's new Mitsubishi car dealership project, said sales of trucks and vans justified the development and would allow the company to focus more on trucks.

Bell Truck Sales is owned and run by sisters Carolyn Bayne and Yvonne Bell. Bell says:"We've owned the Stockton site for over a year and we wanted to take full advantage of its strategic location. We're fairly sure the used vehicle site will be the biggest of its type in the North." •
