• A Crown Court judge has ruled that a Lancashire haulier, whose wellmaintained trailer shed two wheels, one of which hit an oncoming vehicle, was "totally blameless". The court quashed fines of more than £1,000 on the driver and the company, Barnes & Tipping, revoking the driver's licence endorsement. B&T managing director John Wood, who says his business suffered following the initial court decision in December, is convinced wheel loss is a design problem.
