Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Docklands Transit minibuses has launched a 10-minute service in London.

Called the D11, it links the Isle of Dogs with the Broadgate Centre in Liverpool Street, via Wapping, Tobacco Dock, Tower Hill, Fenchurch Street and Aldgate.

"It is the first time that Fenchurch Street station has had any bus service," says chairman Harry Blundred. "We Devonians have come to London to show how it's done."

"We see ourselves as complementing the Docklands Light Railway, rather than competing against it, even when the Bank extension is open — users should have a choice."

The service is expected to run every five minutes within a few months.

Docklands Transit now runs about 70 minibuses on its dayto-day operation — all Mellorbodied Ford Transits.

"The Fords have stood up to intensive operation very well," says Blundred. "Some in our Devon General fleet have been going for six years — we may even get 10 years out of them," says Blundred.
