• Southport independent operator ABC Travel of Formby has expanded southwards with the capture of a threeyear contract to run circular services in Liverpool.
ABC was set up less than a year ago by David Garnett, former traffic manager at OK Travel of Bishop Auckland. His fleet has grown to 10 vehicles. Another long distance route set up recently takes the company to St Helens on the Southport service, which is part subsidised and part commercial.
