Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Leyland Daf has won a Ministry of Defence contract to supply 173 refuellers to the Forces, making it the sole supplier of this vehicle type.

Four different models will be supplied by Fluid Transfer and Thompson Tankers.

The Royal Navy will take delivery of 30 9,000-litre refuellers, based on the Freighter — a further seven will go the Army. The vehicles will be fitted with an overhead fuelling boom, designed by Fluid Transfer. A total of 43 500-litre tankers, based on the Roadrunner 10.13, have been earmarked for the Royal Air Force, and 33 hydrant dispensers, based on the Roadrunner 8.12 have gone to major military airbases.

They will be used to refuel large aircraft from underground storage tanks.

A custom-built Leyland Daf 6x4 Constructor chassis will be used for 60 18,200-litre refuellers, designed to fit inside Hercules aircraft, and supplied by Thompson Tankers.
