Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE ONLY Roadtrain which is not affected by London's threatened ban is the Leyland T45. The model's last big secret — its name — has been released along with the model upon which Leyland Vehicles are pinning their hopes for the future. STEVE GRAY reports.

Certainly no lorry in the company's history has been subjected to more exhaustive testing or so many delayed launches, and Leyland has produced a vehicle which is at least as good as the current competition.

The model introduced today — the 16.28 — is the first of many, and, Leyland says, it doesn't incorporate any of the sophisticated technology the company says it has in store.

Leyland is concentrating on establishing a reputation for reliability and ease of service. • To this end it has incorporated a slower revving engine and such novel features as using the same basic instrument for all functions (except tachograph and rev counter), and special attention has been paid to cab anti-corrosion treatment.

The price (E25,000) is competitive and should encourage operators to buy. Already several large firms, in the private and public sectors, have ordered Roadtrains. More on Roadtrain on pages 28, 29, 45 and 58.
