Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BEATING-UP Greater Glasgow PTE busmen carries all the risk and excitement of stealing a blind man's penny. Thirty-three were assaulted in five weeks and in 30 of the incidents the assailants escaped.

What did the passengers and others who must have witnessed these attacks do? Did they rally to the aid of the busmen? Did they summon help? Did they give information to the police? Or did they look the other way?My last guess is most likely to be correct.

The attackers were school children — one of whom stabbed a busman — football supporters, drunks and other assorted thugs. I am glad I don't belong to Glasgow.
