A Taking the driv&s in the middle group
of vehicles (over 10 tons and up to 15 tons), as set out in the Road Haulage Council Wages Order RH (86), the statutory minimum remuneration for the London area for a 40-hour week is £12 Os 6d—£11 15s 6d outside the London area.
In appendix C of the PIB Report No. 48 the average weekly earnings for all drivers (excluding milk workers) are given as £227 s 1 ii For the 10 to 15 ton group only the total is £23 9s of which 39.5 per cent constitutes overtime earned when the previous 41-week applied.
