LUCAS ABANDONS ASBESTOS • The entire UK aftermarket range of Lucas Girling disc brake pads is scheduled to become asbestos-free by this autumn. The range will be converted gradually and its previous asbestos-lined counterpart will be withdrawn.
Lucas is also planning a similar programme for its brake shoes which will be completed by March 1990.
