by a driver on 16 occasions led to Newport haulier Godfrey Price appearing at disciplinary proceedings before South Wales Licensing Authority John Mervyn Pugh.
Mervyn Pugh took no action other than to warn Price about his conduct.
Price said his drivers were paid strictly on an hourly basis, and there was no financial advantage to a driver in altering his tachograph. The driver concerned had acted in this way because his wife suffered from arthritis and he had wanted to get back to her earlier. As a result, he had fallen into the practice of inserting his chart late.
