• The first two welfare bus versions of the Reeve Burgess Harrier body have been delivered this week to Derbyshire Social Services.
The Harriers, based on short-wheelbase Leyland Swifts, are fitted with 12 seats mounted on Unwin tracking for easy removal or relocation. There is space for eight wheelchairs.
Wheelchair passengers enter through double doors at the rear of the bus using a Ratcliff tail-lift. At the front is a low-step, wide entrance flanked by highvisibility handrails, and a PSV-type rear emergency door.
