Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The National Expressliner coach is now being phased in, with Paramount Leisure of Hanley taking delivery of four new coaches as part of a 23.5m/five-year contract with National Express.

Two will be delivered to full Rapide specification, including servery and toilet/washroom, to operate on NE service 572, operating between London and Lancashire.

The other two are to standard specification and will run on service 830 between Liverpool and Southampton from the end of July.

The Expressliner was launched in March (CM 30 March5 April) as NE's standard vehicle for the 1990s. The 12m 46seater is based on Plaxton's Paramount 3500 Volvo B1OM design.

C Plaxton is buying the Henlys Vehicle Group in a 248m expansion programme (see Business News). The deal means

that Henly's bodybuilding operation, Mellor Coachcraft of Rochdale, will become part of the Plaxton group.
