Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Christian Salvesen has won a five-year management contract to operate Safeway's Scottish retail distribution centre.

The contract will be operated from Bellshill Industrial Estate in Glasgow, replacing Safeway's operation at Abbotsinch which is to be closed down following the refusal of planning permission to expand.

Christian Salvesen will provide the management and logistical back-up and Safeway will provide the fleet. The Glasgow warehouse site will open in September creating 163 jobs, increasing to 500 jobs when the centre becomes fully operational next summer. 0 Christian Salvesen Contract Hire has also clinched a fiveyear contract with Buxtonbased metal refinishing company LeaRonal.

Under the deal Christian Salvesen will provide vehicles and support services including maintenance, replacement vehicles and a national breakdown and recovery service, as well as monitoring operational performance and advising LeaRonal on its distribution service.

Christian Salvesen's Buxton depot will service the contract, buying part of the LeaRonal fleet and adding three M-Bs.
