BANBURY poultry and produce merchant Faccenda Farm Fresh has taken delivery of three new Seadykeequipped 9.75m (321u) Wilcox aluminium tipping semitrailers for use with the company's Volvo 6x2 Fills at 38 tonnes gcw.

The 41.3cum (54cu yd) trailers weigh 7.09 tonnes unladen and each is fitted with Precision Loads on-board weighing systems.

These comprise two load cells on each side of the tipping gear and one at either side of the body rear hinge pins.

A display module is mounted iii the cab, into which the maximum permitted payload and sequential deliveries may be entered. A printer facility is fated with the display unit. A memory facility is useful for secure stock control.

Although readings can be affected by high winds or uneven ground, Faccenda finds its accuracy of up to plus or minus 0.5 of one per cent suitable for the daily feed distribution service between the company's mill and its group of poultry units.
