The Lorry Crime Nog as reported countless cases where truckers have been caught smuggling drugs, but, by way of a change, trucks were actually being used as a permanent home for blooming cannabis plants in this case.
Following a tip-off, police in Enfield. north London, raided a farm in Whitewebbs Lane on Wednesday 23 June. Officers discovered three lorries containing specialist lighting and generators and one housing 102 cannabis plants.
A man and a woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of the cultivation and production of cannabis. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.
