Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In addition to being the UK's leading mixer builder, Hymix operates its own fleet of 30 six-wheelers, providing third-party transport via a national network of franchisees. The Mixers operation provides vehicles with experienced drivers as a package to help ready-mix companies deal with the frequent fluctuations in business. It uses neat sliding signs in its side-guards to signal when its vehicles are working for any one of the "big five" ready-mix companies.

General manager Alex Turner says the Mixers operation gives Hymix the ideal opportunity to trial the mixer trailer through its own national network. "We'd run it with a 6x4 tractor because site access is key," he adds. 'That's why were still going down the route of a 6x4, even though some people say you can get away with a 6x2." With five years' previous experience working with Tarmac Topmix ,Turner knows only too well that the first time an artic mixer gets stuck on a site will be the last time it's used.

An arlic mixer also gives fleets the chance to spread their wings, he adds: It gives them the opportunity to look at other products such as tippers because the tractor can be put into another type of haulage. You have a flexible resource."

You can also save money by running the artic mixer's donkey engine on red diesel, Ironically, Turner says that, although the market is increasingly trying eight-legger chassis, choice and final specification is critical to ensure full compliance en gross weights if you want an 8rn3 load of concrete in the barrel.
