PAA FIRE appliance based on a Land Rover chassis has been developed by Alfred Miles, Ltd., Cheltenham. It made its debut at the conference of the British Fire Services Association last week.
A crew of four can be carried, and each member has his own cab door.
Equipment i n eludes a 150-gallon welded light alloy water tank and a Coventry Climax 250 350 g.p.m. pump mounted at
the rear. Four 8-ft, lengths of suction hose and 120 ft. of 1-in.-bore hose are carried.
Locker space is provided for various pieces of equipment, whilst a ladder is attached to the roof.
