AN air pump having an output of approximately.3 cu. ft. per min. at 500 r.p.m. and capable of maintaining a pressure of 150 p.s.i.. is being marketed at £12 10s. by Lawrence Edwards and Co., Ltd., Commercial Buildings, Oxford Street, Kidderminster.
It is of the oscillating-cylinder type and therefore has no crankcase. It can be driven off any convenient power shaft, or from the power take-off shaft of an industrial tractor or a Land-Rover.
if a separate electric motor is used, the pump can be conveniently mounted on a length of stout angle iron bolted to any suitable base. It is simple and sturdily built. The outfit weighs about 14 lb. and is complete with coupling suitable for a variety of drives, mounting plate and 18 ft. of airline.
