New Axor has that 'X-factor'
DAIMLER HAS introduced a new addition to the Mercedes-Benz heavy truck range — the highly specced 'Axor X'. Its Euro-5 400 and 430 engines come with the automated PowerShift 12 transmission, Jost fifth wheel, cab aero kit and, on 4x2s, side skirts.
A two-year repair and maintenance package covers the annual vehicle test and inspections, roadside assistance. routine servicing (up to 160,000km per year) and additional mechanical repairs, as well as everyday wear and tear.
The driver can enjoy a multi-adjustable air seat, Bluetooth-equipped stereo, CD storage, tinted glass sunroof and a brushedsteel dash trim, as well as a special Axor X goodie bag.
Prices range from £88,670 for the 1840LS to £95,100 for the 2543LS. A demo fleet is now in place at some dealers in the UK.
