Tir,IS big Luton van (above) is being cperated by Bevan Funnell Ltd. of Nemhaven on their Swedish and Italian direct furniture delivery services under TIR 'carnet. Built on an Austin FJ undercab-mgined chassis of 5-ton rating. it is of jmost 2.500 cu. ft. capacity and is 36 ft, long overall, taking advantage of the amended Construction and Use
Regulations which came into force last August.
The composite van body by Marston Motor Co. Ltd., of London. N.15. has a quickly detachable skirt panel on the Luton head to enable the tilt cab to be tipped forward for servicing work on the engine.
