Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Tw° petrol engines are used to power a new 120-passenger city bus developed in the U.S.S.R. Known as the Ziu-6, it is 39 ft. long and has an overall width of 8 ft. 10 in. Its unladen weight is 9i tons, and it is rated for a gross vehicle weight of 174tons.

The power units are two Zit-158 bus engines, each developing 109 b.h.p., and they are connected through a hydraulic coupling. From the second engine the drive is taken to a transfer box, whence drives pass to the air compressor and the radiator fan. The main driveshaft is led rearwards from the transfer box into the combined clutch-gearbox unit.

Electro-pneumatic control of the clutch and gearbox is employed, a single lever controlling the two, thereby giving " twopedal " control. Conventional axles are used at front and rear, and the rear axle has a drum-type hand brake on it.

Tyre equipment is equivalent to 12.5020 in., and the front-to-rear weight distribution is in the ratio of 37 : 63. Power steering is fitted.
