Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ik ANUF ACT U R E and marketing of IVI A.E.C. vehicles on the European mainland will be undertaken by a new company, A.E.C. Continental, S.A., which has been formed by A.E.C., Ltd., and Etablissements Spitals, Antwerp.

The company will form a base for A.E.C. in Europe, and will strengthen the spares and after-sales service which has been carried on by Spitals since 1949. The board of A.E.C. Continental, S.A., will comprise Mons. G. Spitals and Mons. M. Spitals for the Belgian concern, and Mr. E. R. Hollands and Mr. J. D. Slater, of A.E.C., Ltd.

Lord Brabazon of Tara, chairman of Associated Commercial Vehicles, Ltd., says in his annual statement, issued on Monday, that the benefits of rationalization and reorganization in the group are now being experienced. There has also been a general improvement in trading conditions at home and overseas. There has been a substantial increase in export turnover despite the tendency for overseas countries to build up their industries and manufacture locally to the greatest possible extent.

To take part in this development A.C.V. have formed a subsidiary company in South Africa, as well as the new company in Belgium. A manufacturing agreement with Commercial Road Vehicles, Eire, has also been negotiated.

The group's bodybuilding activities are not making the progress that the directors would like to achieve, but the present orders will maintain production by Park Royal Vehicles, Ltd., and Charles H. Roe, Ltd., at a substantial level for sonic. time to come.

The business is highly competitive and profit margins suffer accordingly, Lord Brabazon comments, but production facilities are being improved to reduce prices still further.
