Air-sprung Volvo: A Swedish Volvo B655 bus has been equipped with air suspension. The system incorporates Ieaf springs at both axles, with two air bellows at the front axle and four at the rear.

More Volkswagens: Production of Volkswagen cars and commercial vehicles increased by 147,847 during 1959. The year's production totalled 704,935, of which more than half were exported.

More Refrigerator Engines : Of an order for 1,430 Perkins Four 99 oil engines received from the U.S.A. and worth £250.000, a large proportion is from the Transicold Corporation, Los Angeles, for use in refrigerated trailers.
