Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Pat Clinton, the former transport manager of collapsed Scottish haulier R&M Chillspeed, and director of new firm Cadmic:I Logistics, has now started a new job.

He will be working as a transport manager at Norfolk Line, which says it has no problem with his appointment.

Clinton remains as a director of Caricold, although day-today running will be handled by ex-driver Rill Mair, who says it is business as usual.

Caricold began operating the day after Chillspeed folded, using the same trucks, drivers and even offices for a short while. However, the ex Chillspeed subcontractors seem to bear no grudge against Clinton. One comments: 'He's just trying to keep his head above water like the rest of us."

Several former Chillspeed subcontractors are also working directly for Norfolk Line as they attempt to get over crippling losses—in some cases totalling as much as 2100,000—incurred when Chillspeed folded.

There is also speculation that a number of haulage firms in the area may be in the frame to buy Caricold.
