RENAULT Truck Industries now offers a full range of front-engined PSV chassis based on its Dodge Comniando trucks.
Modifications to its G08, G10 and G13 chassis include an extended front end arrangement to allow a full entrance ahead of thc front axle, the resiting of some chassis components to make life easier for bodybuilders and PSV suspension modifications. "These are aimed at the postderegulation bus markets.
The models are offered with naturally aspirated or turbocharged Perkins six-cylinder engines rated to develop from 84 to 119kW (112 to 159hp). The 127kW (170hp) V8 Perkins 540 is also an option on the G13 model.
Although normally supplied with manual gearboxes, the chassis can be specified with Allison fully automatic transmission.
Renault is offering a complete family of single-deck bus chassis suitable for bodies with seating capacities from 25 to 45.
Its first extended front overhang G13 chassis has been supplied to the London Borough of Waltham Forest and fitted with a Wadham Stringer Vanguard body.
This has seats for 55 children.
