THE tcain of experts front the London Transport Executive who arc advising the Ceylon Ciovernmetu on natiOnalization of bus services throughout the island have said that the decision to take over the services all at once should be reconsidered. They have recommended nationalization in three phases, beginning with the Colombo city services, to ensure the highest efficiency in the new undertaking.

It is proposed in the draft Transport Bill that the services run by Colombo Municipality should be exempt, but the team are against this. In the interests of co-ordination and rationalization, . they must be integrated with the otheYs, they say. MORE INTERNATIONAL ROAD TRANSPORT AGREEMENTS rOMPLETION of AD international agreement on the transport of dangerous goods by road is expected later this year. The text of the agreement is being drafted by a working party of the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

The E.C.E. working party on the International Road Transport Regime is continuing discussions on the.wording of an annex to the General Agreement on Economic Regulations for international road transport. It concerns the establishment of a tariff for the international transport of goods by road vehicles.
