I NDUSTRIAL troubles are following in the wake of cuts in bus services introduced as a result of fuel. rationing. Drivers and conductors of the Thames Valley Traction Co., Ltd., at High Wycombe, struck work for a day last Saturday in protest against hiss Of earnings as a result of the cuts. On Monday, employees of Bolton Transport Department began a ban on voluntary overtime for the same reason,.
After two token strike S by platform staff at Sunderland, the Northern General Transport Co., Ltd., have reached a settlement on revised schedules. It is understood that most of the workers' claims were conceded.
The Thames Valley protest is understood to have been "half-hearted.' and it is not expected that the men will keep their threat to Strike each Saturday until the company meet their demands .for either a return to pre-rationing schedules, or compensation for loss of overtime,
At Bolton, the Men's action resulted from a loss of only 40 minutes over: time a week. The original schedules , gave them a working week of 47 hours' 48 minutes.
