• Commercial Motor editor Allan Winn is moving on to take over the editor's chair of Flight International, our RBP stablemate covering the aerospace industry.

Winn, who has a long background in technical journalism in a variety of fields including engineering, vehicles and aviation, takes up his new job on 1 January 1989.

"While I will be very sorry to leave Commercial Motor, I am delighted at my new appointment," says Winn. "I have very much enjoyed my 11 years of involvement with all aspects of the commercial vehicle industry, and especially the last three as editor of Commercial Motor. I would like to wish all my many friends and colleagues in the industry all the very best for the future."
