Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• AJS Holdings of Harrogate, the company started by former East Yorkshire Motor Services managing director Alan Stephenson, has increased its board by four new appointments and has also taken over the Parkdale Holdings Pension company which now trades as AJS Pensions Management.

The company's bus interests include the WY Travel Group, which comprises the five former West Yorkshire companies and the London Country Travel Group, including London Country North East and Premier Travel of Cambridge.

Joining Stephenson is Ralph Roberts as part-time deputy chairman/senior executive. Roberts was formerly chief executive of Greater Manchester Buses. Giles Fearnley, until recently group managing director of the WY Group, becomes group services director in a move which makes the three West Yorkshire operating companies directly responsible to AJS.

Dennis Lukes will take on responsibility for the recently formed WY Engineering and ABC Parts companies, and Robert Howells, chief executive of the London Country Travel Group, joins the board with specific responsibilities for the companies within his group. A group financial director, will be appointed soon to complete the restructuring.
